WHO IS THE POWERPACK FOR?
THE POWERPACK IS MADE FOR RIDERS WHO ALREADY HAVE PARAWING EXPERIENCE AND ARE COMMITTED TO A MORE STASH & GLIDE STYLE OF RIDING.
The ultra light weight design packs down to a very compact size and is suited to riders who spend more time foiling hands-free than riding the wing very powered up.
It is designed as a tool to get up on foil, pack away and feel the sensation of foiling unassisted.
We would recommend inexperienced riders to begin with the Pocket Rocket.
HOW DOES THE POWERPACK DO IT?
The PowerPack is a simple yet highly functional design that carefully balances all aspects of performance.
- Large parachute-style surface area generates ample power to lift you quickly onto your foil
- Once flying, the PowerPack offers extensive depower and decent upwind angles for efficient returns
- A lower rib count compared to the Pocket Rocket makes the wing lighter and smaller by design, allowing the canopy to be stashed faster and with less precision handling. It also helps the wing to open cleanly and quickly during redeployment
- The short bridle layout and centre front line riser make the wing easier to bundle — within arm’s reach for most riders and keeps lines out of your way when packing down
- The low-aspect-ratio design works perfectly with the short bridles, helping the wing stay naturally positioned in the power zone. The result is a solid burst of power that suits riders who can pop up on foil quickly
- The PowerPack features a high performance, durable, airtight and lightweight double rip-stop material with a uniquely formulated coating to help shed water, improving flying characteristics and re-launch
- A new bridle material ensures you can smoothly and quickly slide your hands up the lines, time after time, without any discomfort
FREEHAND CONTROL
Developed to complement the PowerPack’s free-feeling performance, the Bow Bar introduces a new level of comfort and control.
- By eliminating a central leader line, the Bow Bar design frees up hand positioning and opens the centre section of the bar. You can now focus more on your riding and less on your hands
- The Bow line engages the central bridle line levels on a ratio which controls the canopy much more evenly through angle-of-attack changes. The power range has become more progressive through input to the bar’s angle and you’ll feel enhanced top-end and bottom-end power control
- A 36cm bar length has been designed for all sizes, creating the perfect balance for maximum control and packing size
SECRETS OF THE STASH
The PowerPack’s short bridle lines provide a more direct connection to the wing while also enabling a faster stash and redeployment. The pack down experience is also improved thanks to the new, smooth, bridle material.
Achieving true, user-friendly performance is about more than just shorter lines and smoother material — it’s about refining every detail.
BRIDLE DESIGN, IN DETAIL
-
Centre front line riser:
Bundling your frontlines via the centre riser — which excludes the wingtip lines — drastically reduces hand forces and makes reaching the canopy quicker and easier
-
New bridle line material:
Developed specifically for parawing use, the new front lines feature a special coating for effortless, smooth and rash-free handling -
Refined line diameter and stiffness:
Helping to ensure fast, tangle-free packdowns — every time
Spanwise Bridge Lines
Lines running across the underside of the wing distribute load from the bridles evenly and effectively. This avoids excessive span-wise tension being transmitted into the canopy and allows its profile and billow to be controlled more precisely
V-shrink tabs on the trailing edge
Precisely positioned to allow for a reduced number of brake lines, while also distributing balanced tension along the entire trailing edge. Contributing to a less complex bridle layout makes pack down and redeployment easier, while the more grunty power produced by the rounded parachute shape captures a good blast of wind to bring you up on foil
