Mark 2 - Freerace 6 Batten
Francisco Goya always had a penchant for racing, which is why developing the Mark 2 in his collaboration was a natural fit. The main goal was to reduce the weight of the sail as much as possible.
In addition, the refinement of the luff curve, the seams and the outline of the Mark 2 lead to a feeling of easier handling as well as more control in strong winds.
The boom lengths are shorter compared to previous years.
That said, the Mark 2 remains our highest performing cambered Freerace sail. Excellent, performance-oriented top speed, good low-end power, control and more stability.
The Mark 2 offers the speed and stability of a camber sail without the need for canvas. You can enjoy its blazing speed and comfort without feeling like you're struggling. The Mark 2 is at peak performance rigged in its right wind range, meaning there is no need to over-canvass. The design is cut to be powerful, the idea being to sail with a sail as small as possible for the board you have so that it is easier to handle, more efficient, making you lose less energy during maneuvers and transitions.
The Mark 2 is very interactive. It is as comfortable on a straight line as on rapid changes of direction, upwind or downwind, on speed edges or in jibe carvings. It is a high performance sail based on pure racing sail designs and specifically designed to perform in Windfoil and Slalom. It performs particularly well combined with the Goya Proton and the Bolt.
