Custom 3 Pro - Surfwave Thruster

Thruster performance, exponentially improved. For the Custom 3 Pro, we combine our most progressive wave shapes with a V-shaped hull and faster rocker. Tighter, which makes them faster and more stable.

New outlines and fluidity of the rails, the Custom 3 Pro is a happy medium between the Custom 4 Pro and the One 3 Pro.

Francisco asks Marcilio about the new shapes:

FG: How was your experience developing the new Custom Thruster?
MB: It was great from the start because we were able to apply everything we had learned on my pro models while combining them with a V-shaped hull with a slightly faster rocker and a set of thruster fins.

FG: Where would you place the Thruster Custom in the lineup?
MB: Between the Custom 4 and the One. Initially, the design goal was focused on maintaining its surfing performance in a wider variety of conditions. But as the lineup expands, we notice that people particularly like the Custom 3 for bump and jump, which has led us to focus on refining some low-rpm performance characteristics and speed in order to glide earlier and jump higher while still being able to make radical turns.

FG: What are the main differences for you between this model and the Custom Quad?
MB: The main difference lies in the V-shaped hull with a slightly sharper rocker and a more parallel outline. We have so much fun on the water with this board! It's easier to break the curve and be vertical in a narrow area. The tail releases earlier, making takas and other maneuvers easier to perform in all conditions.

FG: How do you compare it to the One?
MB: The Custom 3 has a more curved outline than the One, it is designed for wave riders. Slot boxes offer the most experienced riders the opportunity to adjust the position of their fins as they wish.

FG: And compared to the new Nitro?
MB: It has the same hull as the Nitro but with an outline more focused on performance in waves, it is more suitable for windier days and has a better frontside.

FG: Why not 5 cases and an option of off-center straps?
MB: The Thruster is faster with its V-shaped hull, and I wouldn't want to load a high-performance board with two additional boxes. This makes the board heavier and adds drag.

FG: What can we expect from these new shapes compared to previous years?
MB: They go faster and give more comfort and control. They improve navigation performance in all conditions, from on-shore, side on-shore to off-shore conditions.

FG: Will we see you on one of these boards during the tour?
MB: These boards were a very pleasant surprise for me. They are so easy to ride and allow me to glide faster and sail at my best.
I'm pretty sure I'll use these models for future competitions, just like I did in Tenerife and Denmark. I hope we will start having events again soon. I'm ready!
