PPC Orbit Parawing
**Premier arrivage prévu en fin août / début septembre**
The First Parawing to Genuinely Cover a Massive Wind Range
The PPC Orbit is engineered to handle everything from 8–40+ knots across the full size range — without sacrificing downwind freedom. The result of a collaboration with NOVA Paragliders (winners of the 2025 Red Bull X-Alps), it combines the best characteristics of both single and dual-skin parawing designs.
Why the Orbit Exists
Existing single-skin parawings offered frustratingly limited wind ranges. We needed something that could:
- Drive efficiently upwind with the stability and comfort of a dual-skin design
- Stash effortlessly for true hands-free downwind riding
- Perform in everything from 15 to 30+ knots in the same session
After extensive testing in the unpredictable conditions of New Zealand, the Orbit was born — using ultra-light silicone-coated fabric and optimized short-line geometry to achieve what was previously thought to be impossible.
Patent-Pending POWER ASSIST Line (PAL) System
The biggest challenge with dual-skin wings is low-end power. The Orbit solves this with our patent-pending PAL system, integrated directly into the custom ergonomic carbon bar. By engaging full brake mode, the Orbit generates instant low-end power for easier foil takeoffs in lighter winds — then transforms back into a highly efficient upwind machine once you're flying.
- Low-end power of a single-skin wing
- Upwind efficiency and comfort of a dual-skin wing
- Enormous usable wind range in one wing
Wind Range by Size
| Size | Wind Range (knots) |
|---|---|
| 2.7m | 15–35+ |
| 3.5m | 12–30+ |
| 4.5m | 10–28 |
| 5.9m | 8–24 |
Wind range is subject to board/foil size.
Water Shedding Performance
The Orbit sheds water exceptionally efficiently during takeoffs. The ultra-light silicone-coated fabric resists water retention, while full trailing-edge openings allow trapped air and water to escape instantly — relaunching lighter, recovering faster, and packing down effortlessly.
Materials & Construction
- Top surface: Silicone-coated fabric — the same material used in the 2025 Red Bull X-Alps winning glider. Ultra-light, high dimensional stability, long-lasting low porosity.
- Internal structure: Benchmark ultra-light paraglider material — exceptional balance of low weight, durability, and long-term performance.
- Lines: Low-tangle B/C lines + wax-coated, larger-diameter A lines for smooth handling while stashing.
- Bar: Ergonomic carbon construction — 36cm (2.7m/3.5m) · 42cm (4.5m/5.9m)
A Line Lengths
- 2.7m — 147cm
- 3.5m — 152cm
- 4.5m — 160cm
- 5.9m — 178cm
